The Padbury Child

At Padbury Church of England School we want all children to shine. We also know that moving from a small village primary school to larger secondary schools can be daunting, and we need to prepare our children for their success when they leave us. 

Below is our 'Padbury Child'. This is what we want all our year 6 children to be able to be and do before they leave us. This does not happen by chance. Below the statements is a planned map of how we will achieve this with your child as they move through our school.

• Knows that every emotion felt is valid and is courageous in managing them.

• Is respectful to those from different world views and accepting of different needs.

• Has a deep understanding of the Christian faith and its role within the world today.

• Collaborates well with their peers.

• Enjoys supporting younger pupils and others within their community.

• Is able to step outside their comfort zone and challenge themselves to learn new things

• Is able to show resilience and be humble with their learning.

• Is able to reflect, revisit and improve on their work.

• Shows care towards the environment.

• Has represented the school in an extracurricular activity
